I've had the chance to put the Garmin Fenix 8 Pro Smartwatch through its paces on the road, and I must say it's an impressive piece of kit. The first thing that struck me was the build quality – it's solid, with a rugged design that can withstand the rigors of regular use. The watch itself is a bit on the larger side, but it's not unwieldy, and the weight is evenly distributed, making it comfortable to wear even on long rides.

When it comes to performance on the bike, the Fenix 8 Pro delivers. The GPS tracking is spot on, and the watch provides incredibly accurate distance, speed, and cadence data. I was particularly impressed with the watch's ability to handle varying terrain – it seamlessly switches between road and trail modes, and the altimeter and compass functions are surprisingly accurate. The watch also features a built-in heart rate monitor, which provides a reliable reading, even during high-intensity efforts.

One of the standout features of the Fenix 8 Pro is its efficiency. The watch's battery life is impressive, lasting up to 30 days in smartwatch mode and up to 36 hours in GPS mode. This means you can take it on long rides without worrying about running out
